228 enemy drones have been destroyed or shot down – Air Force
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that it shot down and neutralized 228 enemy drones during another massive enemy attack on June 1.
On the night of June 1 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on May 31), the enemy launched an attack using 265 Shahed, Gerber, and Italmas strike UAVs, as well as “Parody” decoy drones, from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Gvardeyskoye – Temporary Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 228 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 27 attack UAVs were recorded at 18 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 12 locations.
The attack is ongoing, with enemy UAVs still in the airspace.
In the Kherson region over the past day, 21 people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling; the region came under massive attacks by drones, artillery, and aircraft.
On the night of May 30, Russian troops launched a massive drone strike on the Shostka community in Sumy Oblast, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
