The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a counterattack on one sector of the front — Voloshyn
Ukrainian troops are carrying out assault and counteroffensive operations on the Oleksandrivka axis in order to prevent Russian forces from advancing towards Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was reported by the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a national telethon broadcast.
According to him, the situation in this section of the front remains difficult; however, the Defence Forces are not only holding their positions but are also actively engaging the enemy.
“The situation there is fairly challenging, but the Defence Forces of Ukraine are destroying the enemy and trying to prevent them from advancing,” Voloshyn said.
He added that Ukrainian defenders continue counteroffensive and assault operations to contain the offensive and stabilise the situation.
“We continue to conduct counteroffensive and assault actions, so the enemy is having a hard time there at the moment, but it is not ceasing its activity,” the spokesperson noted.
Earlier, it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a communications hub and a drone command post used by occupying forces.
It was also reported that occupying forces in Ukraine are threatening the Kremlin over the blocking of Telegram.
