Ukrainian forces have made gains on two fronts simultaneously, while Russian troops continue their offensive operations without significant results on most fronts.

In the Borivka sector, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces made local advances and successfully repelled Russian counterattacks.

Meanwhile, on the Kupiansk sector, the occupiers continue to attempt incursions in small groups from both banks of the Oskil River. However, according to analysts’ assessments, these actions have not yet yielded significant results for the enemy.

The report also notes that due to significant losses, the Russian command is forced to redeploy logistical and non-combat units to reinforce assault groups.

In addition, experts have documented tactical successes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kostyantynivka–Druzhkivka sector. Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and strike enemy command posts, personnel concentrations, and equipment within 10 kilometers of the front line.

Russian troops are attempting to operate in small groups within urban areas but are facing effective resistance from Ukrainian defenders, including counterattacks and drone strikes.

In the Lyman, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Zaporizhzhia sectors, the occupiers continue offensive operations, though analysts do not confirm any significant advance by Russian forces.

No active ground combat operations have been reported in the Kherson sector at this time. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces struck the Chongar Bridge, which connects the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region with Crimea.

As a result of the damage, traffic across the bridge was temporarily restricted. It is known that the bridge is used by Russian troops to supply ammunition, fuel, and other logistical resources to the southern sector.

This is stated in a new report by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Data from the Russian Ministry of Finance indicate that in the first quarter of 2026, the Russian army signed 71,216 new contracts—the lowest figure in the last three years. At the same time, regional budget allocations, according to analysts’ estimates, may indicate approximately 9,000 military casualties per month, or about 300 people per day.

Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported on drones with a range of up to 3,500 km.

Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces reported the destruction of two Tu-142 aircraft and an Iskander operational-tactical missile system at a military airfield in Taganrog, Russia.
