The Ukrainian Armed Forces have taken Mohamed Salah prisoner

Ukrainian troops captured an Egyptian citizen, Mohamed Salah, who was fighting on the side of the Russian army. His story was published by The Kyiv Independent.

The captive shares the same name as the famous Egyptian soccer player, former Liverpool and Egyptian national team forward Mohamed Salah.

According to the man, before the war he lived in Yekaterinburg, where he studied programming at Ural Federal University. He claims that he signed a contract with the Russian army because he hoped to obtain Russian citizenship through military service.

Russian troops have made new advances near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Changes along the front line were documented by the DeepState monitoring project.
