Since the beginning of the year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have protected more than 1,300 km of logistics routes from UAVs
Since the beginning of 2026, the engineering units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have installed more than 1,300 km of anti-drone defenses along logistics routes. Work to create secure supply routes is ongoing.
In August alone, military engineers installed 266 km of such structures. As a result, the network of routes protected from drone attacks continues to expand.
New approaches to the engineering protection of logistics routes began to be implemented as early as 2025. Their goal is to increase the survivability of routes used to transport personnel, equipment, and cargo.
The General Staff notes that these measures are intended to reduce personnel and equipment losses from drone strikes and ensure a more stable supply of resources to Ukrainian units in combat zones.

Anti-drone nets may be installed over certain areas of Kharkiv and along access roads. The final decision on their installation will be made by the military administration after identifying locations that require additional protection.
In addition, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.
