The Ukrainian Armed Forces have denied that Granov in the Kharkiv region was captured
The Russian side claimed to have allegedly “captured” the village of Hraniv in the Derhachi community of Kharkiv Oblast and even to have “destroyed” a Ukrainian brigade. The Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted these reports and emphasized that the village remains under their control. The military also explained that such statements are part of enemy disinformation.
This was reported by the 14th Army Corps.
Russian media outlets spread information about the alleged capture of Hraniv by Russian forces and the “destruction” of units of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Defense Forces emphasized that this is not true.
According to the military, Ukrainian Armed Forces units are holding designated defensive lines, repelling enemy offensives, and inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.
The military dismissed all claims by pro-Russian outlets regarding “shelling of their own units,” “successful assaults,” and “close combat” as fabricated elements of an information campaign.
Its goal is to conceal their own failures, demoralize Ukrainian society, and create yet another “victory on credit.”
