A 107-year-old woman revealed an unexpected secret to longevity
A 107-year-old woman living in the U.S. shared her own recipe for longevity and explained what helps her stay cheerful even at such an advanced age. The retiree’s family members also shared their thoughts on what has been the key to her long and happy life.
Creтора Biggerstaff was born in 1919, so she has witnessed many historical events throughout her life. “I’ve seen so much. There were plenty of good things, but there were bad things too,” the centenarian said.
At the same time, she has always managed to stay optimistic. At 107, she remains active and happy. “My faith sustains me. I owe everything to the Lord. I’m a fighter. I never give up,” she explained.

According to the centenarian’s daughter, Sue Tozi, she never thought her mother would live to be 107. In her opinion, the secret to her mother’s longevity lies in a healthy lifestyle and the absence of bad habits. “I don’t think anyone could have imagined this. But she was almost never seriously ill, never smoked, never drank alcohol, and always remained very active,” said Sue Tozi.

At the same time, Kreтора Biggerstaff herself attributes her longevity to God. “Most people don’t live to be 107. I don’t take credit for this. I give all the glory to the Lord,” said Kretora.
According to another of the centenarian’s daughters, Carol Owens, Kreta used to travel a lot. “She’s been literally all over the world. And she’s always keeping busy,” the woman said.
The centenarian’s grandson, Bob Biggerstaff, also spoke about his grandmother. He admitted that he admires her. “She’s my grandmother, just as I’ve known her all my life. And the most amazing thing is that she’s still sharp as a tack,” he remarked.
The centenarian spoke about this in an interview with Fox 26.
The oldest man in the U.S., Luis Cano, revealed the secret to longevity at age 111.
As a reminder, 91-year-old Pierre Sable from Catalonia, France, also previously shared his secrets to an active life. He has seven children, and his daughter, Luisa Maria, was recently born. Together with his 39-year-old wife, Aisha, he continues to lead an active lifestyle and raise his children.
