Abdul-Hamid leads race for NPP first vice-chairman — Global InfoAnalytics
Former National Petroleum Authority chief executive Mustafa Abdul-Hamid has topped the ranking of candidates for the position of first vice-chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to a Global InfoAnalytics poll cited by MyJoyOnline, he was supported by 18.3% of respondents.
Gap between the three leaders
Former NPP national youth organizer Henry Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, and Nana Akomea each received 17.5%. Abdul-Hamid's lead over each of his two closest rivals is 0.8 percentage points.
Kojo Fosu Boadu took fourth place with 5.6%. He was followed by Masawudu Osman with 4.5%, Richard Ahiagbah with 3.8%, Yaa A. Frimpong with 3.1%, and Abena Pokuah Amoa with 1.4%. Samuel Payne and Abankwa Yeboah each received 1.3%.

Some respondents remain undecided
Another 19.7% of poll participants had not decided on their choice. Gorma Mieza received 0.7%, Bright Essilfie Kumi received 0.1%, and Richard Oti Aboadje received 0.0%.
In a separate Global InfoAnalytics poll on favorability, Nana Akomea topped the ranking with a net rating of +68%. Abdul-Hamid had a rating of +66%, while Nana Boakye had +62%.
The NPP's national executive elections are scheduled for October. They are expected to elect the party's new leadership, including the national chairman, vice-chairmen, general secretary, and other officials.
