Airbus has cut aircraft deliveries to their lowest level in 16 years

In the first quarter of 2026, the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus delivered 114 aircraft to 46 customers worldwide.

This is 16% less than in the same period of 2025 and the lowest figure since 2009.

Of the total deliveries, 100 were narrow-body aircraft, three were A330 models, and 11 were A350s.

At the same time, net orders for this period reached 398 aircraft. In March alone, the company delivered 60 aircraft to customers.

Airbus’s annual target remains at 870 aircraft, though it was set before the situation in the Middle East escalated.

Currently, the aviation industry is facing difficulties due to rising fuel prices and reduced operations by some airlines amid conflicts in the region.

Airbus successfully tested the new Bird of Prey UAV interception platform, based on a modified Do-DT25 drone, at a military testing ground in northern Germany.

Airbus Helicopters presented promising aircraft projects developed as part of NATO’s “Next Generation Rotorcraft Capabilities” (NGRC) program.
