French Socialist leader Faure was pelted with flour during the May Day parade
Olivier Faure, leader of the French Socialist Party, was attacked during a May Day march in Amiens.
This was reported by Le Figaro.
The politician, along with his colleagues, was leading a column of demonstrators when a group of activists broke through the cordon and began shouting slogans against him.
Faur was subsequently surrounded, pelted with flour, and insulted, with some calling him a “traitor.”
According to local media, representatives of far-left movements were involved in the incident.
Some members of the Socialist Party have already condemned the incident and expressed support for their leader.
