Air traffic suspended at Bangladesh's main airport due to massive fire
On Saturday, a major fire broke out at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, resulting in the suspension of all flights. According to Talha Bin Zaim, a representative of the fire department, 36 units are involved in fighting the fire. Airport official Masudul Hasan confirmed that all operations had been suspended. In particular, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Dhaka was diverted to Kolkata, and an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah also changed its route.

This fire was the third major incident in Bangladesh in a week, following fires in textile factories earlier in the week. The situation is being monitored by the relevant services, including the army, navy, and air force, which have joined in the firefighting efforts. The plan of action for the coming days includes restoring the airport and investigating the cause of the fire, which has already caused concern among travelers and businesses involved in air transport.
