Two Egyptian pilgrims killed in bus crash near Mecca
A bus accident occurred near the city of Al-Jumum in Saudi Arabia, killing two Egyptian citizens who were performing Umrah. Another 25 Egyptian pilgrims were injured. The bus was traveling from Medina to Mecca.
There were 47 pilgrims on the bus
According to Anadolu Agency, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 47 Egyptian pilgrims were on the bus. The accident occurred on Saturday evening.
The ministry said that the 25 injured sustained minor or moderate injuries. Seven of them were hospitalized in intensive care units.

Pilgrims were accommodated in Mecca hotels
The other pilgrims received medical assistance and were discharged from hospitals. They were then accommodated in designated hotels in Mecca.
Saudi authorities had not commented on the accident at the time of publication. Umrah is a voluntary minor Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca that involves visiting the Kaaba and performing religious rites.
