Four unidentified projectiles strike two vessels off Oman — UKMTO
Four unidentified projectiles struck two vessels off the coast of Oman near the city of Khasab. A fire broke out aboard one of them, Anadolu Agency reports, citing the UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO).
Incident near Khasab
UKMTO received a third-party report of the incident at 19:10 GMT. According to it, the two vessels were four nautical miles, or approximately 7.4 kilometers, west of Khasab.
The captain of another vessel reported seeing four unidentified projectiles strike the two vessels. According to him, they were approximately six nautical miles, or 11 kilometers, north of his position.

Investigation of the incident
A fire occurred on one of the vessels. The condition of the second vessel remained unclear at the time the report was released.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. UKMTO advised vessels in the area to proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity.
