Belarus is launching an ammunition plant with an annual production capacity of 240,000 shells

Belarus plans to launch a new full-cycle plant called “Uchastok” by the end of 2026, which will produce 122- and 152-mm artillery and rocket ammunition.

This was announced by Vladimir Zhigar, a representative of the BelPol organization.

According to him, the facility is being built in the Slutsk District on the site of former military depots. Once operational, the plant will be capable of producing up to 240,000 rounds of ammunition per year operating on a two-shift schedule.

In total, the plan is to produce 120,000 rocket shells and 120,000 artillery shells annually.

BelPol believes that a significant portion of this output will be supplied to Russia.

Experts note that Belarus continues to ramp up military production and is increasingly fulfilling Russian defense orders, particularly for the production of ammunition, drones, and the repair of military equipment.
