Princess Diana's brother had his fourth wedding in the desert
The late Princess Diana’s younger brother, 61-year-old Earl Charles Spencer, married 43-year-old Norwegian archaeologist Kat Jarman. The private wedding ceremony took place on May 15 in the U.S. state of Arizona amid a desert landscape, where the bride wore a white linen dress and the groom wore a classic black suit.
This was reported by HELLO! magazine. Charles Spencer called this day the happiest of his life and noted on Instagram that his beloved happily married him even in the desert.

The couple has been together for two years, and their relationship began when the Earl agreed to write a review of the archaeologist’s book “River Kings.” Later, they launched a joint podcast and participated in archaeological excavations together. In a joint statement, the couple noted that they had gone from colleagues to friends, and then to deep love and a connection, with each stage accompanied by laughter and a passion for life.
For Charles Spencer, this is his fourth marriage. From his first marriage to Victoria Aitken, he has four adult children; from his second marriage to Caroline Freud, he has two children; and the Earl divorced his third wife, Karen Spencer, in June 2024, raising their daughter, Lady Charlotte Diana. Kat Jarman has two sons from a previous marriage.
In the UK, a personal letter written by Princess Diana when she was 17—before she met Prince Charles—will be put up for auction.
