Britain and Israel Will Continue to Share Intelligence Despite Sanctions — The Guardian

Israel has assured the United Kingdom that the two countries will continue to exchange intelligence as usual, despite London’s decision to ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

According to him, the British side has received appropriate assurances from its Israeli counterparts. The exchange of information is mutually beneficial, and Israeli intelligence, according to the British side, does not seek to become involved in political disputes between governments.

Miliband also emphasized that the British intelligence-sharing did not contribute to Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip or on the West Bank of the Jordan River.

According to the minister, London discussed the decision on sanctions with Washington in advance. Miliband stated that the international community is “quite disappointed” with some of the Israeli government’s actions, particularly the situation in the West Bank.

This was stated by British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, as quoted by The Guardian.

Alona Shevtsova will moderate a panel on innovation in the payments sector at MEBIS 2026 in Dubai.

Eleven more countries have joined the UK’s sanctions against Israel.

As a reminder, Britain is preparing new sanctions against Israel due to the expansion of settlements.

Earlier, Israel threatened the Palestinian Authority with a full-scale war.
