Tea exhibition in China records 709 million yuan in sales and orders
The 18th Hunan Tea Expo has concluded in the Chinese city of Changsha. Over four days, the volume of on-site sales, online transactions and declared orders amounted to 709 million yuan, or about $100 million. ECNS reports, citing the event’s organizing committee.
The total included 197 million yuan in sales directly at the exhibition, 267 million yuan in online transactions and 245 million yuan in declared orders. More than 100 cooperation agreements in procurement and distribution were also reached during the event.
Participants and program
The exhibition brought together more than 1,500 tea industry enterprises from Hunan and other regions of China, while the number of visitors exceeded 100,000. The program included business networking events for Hunan tea brands, a tea competition, educational tours for young people, tea therapy demonstrations and performances dedicated to intangible cultural heritage.

Subsidies totaling 1 million yuan were distributed at the event to stimulate consumption. According to the organizing committee, the exhibition was intended to help tea enterprises expand sales channels and connect the traditional industry with new consumer markets and deep processing.
Tea beverages and products
One notable area was supply chains for modern tea beverages. More than a dozen bottled drinks made from Hunan tea varieties were presented at the exhibition, including Anhua dark tea, Baojing golden tea, Guzhang black tea and Yueyang yellow tea.
Hunan Gulou Xuefeng Yunwu Tea Co. showcased tea-based food products, including green tea noodles and black tea jelly. At the Zhangjiajie pavilion, visitors were also introduced to white tea ice cream and pastries, which attracted the attention of young guests.
