A police officer in Iran took his own life due to unpaid wages
Iranian opposition media reported the suicide of police officer Hadi Faraji. He took his own life due to financial difficulties related to delays in the payment of salaries to Iranian officers.
The information was later confirmed by IRGC sources themselves.
Due to the war and the U.S. naval blockade—through which approximately 90% of Iranian oil exports were shipped—Iran is currently facing serious financial problems, and this is already beginning to affect the army’s core personnel. Salaries for Iranian officers have been delayed for several months now.
This is not the first finance-related suicide among officers. However, there were previously doubts about the veracity of such reports due to disinformation campaigns on similar topics.
This was reported on a Telegram channel.
As a reminder, Russia has begun supplying Iran with explosives, ammunition, and drone components, helping Tehran rebuild its military arsenal following strikes by the U.S. and Israel.
Iran may transfer ballistic missiles and launchers to Russia.
Iranian authorities fear that increased economic pressure from the U.S. could further worsen the population’s situation and trigger a new wave of mass protests.
