Fourth tanker destroyed — Russian Midvolga 2 attacked in the Black Sea
The Midvolga 2 tanker, which was travelling from Russia to Georgia with a cargo of sunflower oil, reported an attack on it in the Black Sea 80 miles off the coast of Turkey.
This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
There were 13 crew members on board, no one was injured and no assistance was required. The ship is sailing to Sinop, Turkey, with its engines running.
The exact method of attack has not been specified. This is the fourth tanker to be hit during our operations.
