CNBC has opened the application process for an award for women leaders

CNBC has opened nominations for its annual Changemakers 2027 list, which will feature women who are transforming business and philanthropy. Nominations can be submitted until December 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The list is scheduled to be released in February 2027, according to CNBC.

Criteria for Nominees

Women who lead companies, organizations, and charitable institutions may be nominated for the list. The organization they lead must have had annual revenue of at least $25 million in at least one of the last three years or meet the following enterprise value criteria: $100 million for private companies and $250 million for public companies.

CNBC calls Changemakers its fourth annual list dedicated to women who lead large companies, startups, and philanthropic organizations. According to media reports, the list highlights female leaders who apply new approaches to long-standing business challenges, identify new opportunities, and influence capital, strategy, and technology within their organizations.

Advisory Board

An advisory board composed of experienced representatives from the business and philanthropic sectors will assist CNBC in determining the weighting of selection criteria and compiling an inclusive list. Its members include, among others, Apollo Impact Chair Patience Ball; Tory Burch, CEO and Creative Director of Tory Burch; Meta President and Vice Chair Dina Powell McCormick, LeanIn.org and OptionB.org founder Sheryl Sandberg, and General Catalyst Head of Healthcare Initiatives Ken Fraser.
