The German railway company Deutsche Bahn announced free rides for "aggressive passengers," mainly migrants, following the February 2nd incident in which a fare-dodger killed a ticket inspector. This decision has sparked public controversy and reflects part of the security measures being implemented on the railways.

Germany’s Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder proposed mandatory ID checks for public transport users.
