High-ranking officials from China and Russia will travel to Iran for Ali Khamenei's funeral – Bloomberg
This weekend, Iran will host high-level foreign delegations arriving for the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Beijing will be represented at the ceremony by He Wei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Russia by Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Security Council. Public mourning events will begin on Saturday in Tehran, and millions of people are expected to attend.
In addition to representatives from China and Russia, leaders and high-ranking officials from other countries in the region have confirmed their participation in the events. In particular, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is one of the key mediators in resolving the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel—which resulted in Khamenei’s death in February—will arrive in Tehran. According to Iranian media reports, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, as well as the presidents of Georgia and Tajikistan, will also attend the ceremony.

Iranian authorities have announced that multi-day funeral ceremonies will be held for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who, according to reports, was killed on February 28 during the war between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. The mourning events will take place from July 3 to July 9 in Iran and Iraq.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in strikes by the U.S. and Israel, will be buried in the holy city of Mashhad.
