Donald Trump has strongly condemned Iran for blocking the Strait of Hormuz
U.S. President Donald Trump publicly condemned Iran’s actions in blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a key international shipping route for oil.
President Donald Trump made this statement during a lunch with members of the Trump and Kennedy Center’s board of directors, according to the White House.
During the lunch with members of the Trump and Kennedy Center board, Trump emphasized that blocking the strategic route is unfair and unacceptable.
“It’s not even fair on their part. We’ve already won! They have no right to continue what they’re doing,” the U.S. leader said.
Following three days of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on targets in Tehran in late February, Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
During eight days of naval confrontation, the Iranian navy lost nearly half of its combat vessels, including drone carriers and submarines. Despite this, Tehran continued to block one of the world’s main oil arteries.
In early March, Iran attacked two oil tankers near the Iraqi port of Basra with underwater drones. In total, at least 16 attacks on ships have been recorded since the start of hostilities.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized certain countries for their unwillingness to help unblock the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
Recall that Germany rejected Trump’s request to participate in the operation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Spain has refusedto participate in the mission in the Strait of Hormuz.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski did not rule out the possibility of dialogue with the U.S. regarding the Strait of Hormuz, but stressed that the country does not plan to participate in any military mission in the region.
