India’s exports to key BRICS countries rose 34% — The Hindu
India’s exports to China, South Africa, Brazil and Russia rose by 34% in April–August of the 2026–2027 financial year, reaching $19.9 billion. Supplies to China increased by 39%, delivering the strongest growth among these destinations.

According to The Hindu, the share of these four countries in India’s total exports during the first five months of the financial year increased from 8.1% to 9.2%. The publication calls them key BRICS countries; all of them are founding members of the group along with India.

Dynamics within BRICS
An Indian official quoted by the publication said that the strongest momentum is among BRICS members, primarily China, South Africa, Brazil and Russia.
According to him, India is deepening engagement with BRICS. The growth in exports to these markets, the publication estimates, underscores the bloc’s increasingly important role in India’s export growth.
