Estonia called for increased pressure on the Kremlin following the attack on Kyiv
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna condemned the Russian strike on the SBU building in central Kyiv on September 4.
He emphasized that the SBU headquarters is located near St. Sophia Cathedral—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to Tsahkna, the attack was yet another example of Russia’s disregard for civilian lives and its attempts to destroy Ukrainian cultural identity.
The Estonian minister stated that the Kremlin seeks to sow terror, cause casualties, and ignore international law. Tsakhkna assured Ukraine of Estonia’s support.
He also called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia, deepen its isolation, and redouble efforts to prevent impunity for the crimes committed.
