Dubai police find missing 6-year-old girl in less than 30 minutes
In Dubai, UAE, police found a six-year-old girl who had gone missing in the Frij Al Murar area of Naif district in less than 30 minutes. After the child was reunited with her family, law enforcement officers urged parents and guardians to supervise young children at all times.
Search after the father contacted police
As reported by The National, the father took his daughter to a grocery store near their home. After shopping, he turned around and did not see the child. The man assumed that the girl had returned to the residential building, but she was not there with her mother.
The father searched the area near the building and, after failing to find his daughter, contacted Dubai Police. Officers at Naif Police Station organized a search team and distributed the child’s photograph to all patrols.

The child was found nearby
The girl was found on a neighboring street. According to police, she was crying and very frightened when she was found. She was taken to Naif Police Station, where employees of the Victim Communication Department provided the child with assistance and support until her father arrived.
Naif Police Station Director Brigadier Omar Mousa Ashour said that the father contacted police after unsuccessful independent searches. Dubai Police also urged adults to teach children how to act if they lose contact with their family, especially in crowded places. Children are advised to seek help from police officers or security personnel.
