Estonian police have launched an investigation into the desecration of the Ukrainian flag in Tallinn

In the Estonian capital, law enforcement officials have opened a criminal investigation into the desecration of the Ukrainian national flag in the city’s central district. 

According to the prosecutor’s office, on Tuesday, June 23, police received a report from passersby who discovered torn and burned fragments of the Ukrainian flag on the roadway of Uus Street in the Kesklinn district. 

An investigation has now been launched under the section of the Criminal Code that provides for liability for disrespecting the official symbols of foreign states and international organizations.

In Lithuania, a man was convicted of desecrating the Ukrainian flag and damaging a car.

In Poland, a Ukrainian flag was desecrated at a rally for an anti-Ukrainian presidential candidate.
