Financiers of the Vantaa arena refuse to answer Yle’s questions
Representatives of the financiers of the planned event arena in the Kivistö district of the Finnish city of Vantaa refused to give interviews or answer questions from journalists of the MOT project. The arena, which is planned to become Finland’s largest event arena, is estimated at €200 million.
As Yle reports, project leaders said in the summer that the financing had been arranged by four British businessmen. According to them, the funds are to come from a U.S. bank whose name was not disclosed. According to publicly available information, the money is to enter Finland through Dubai-registered company EPower Capital.

MOT journalists obtained EPower Capital’s registration details in the United Arab Emirates. The extract states that at the time of its establishment, the company’s sole manager was British businessman Neil Pratt.
The company was registered in April 2025 in the Silicon Oasis free-trade zone in Dubai. Its declared activities include investments in energy companies and projects, as well as their management.

According to Yle, Pratt previously managed three companies in the United Kingdom, two of which had names beginning with EPower. The outlet notes that these companies had no significant assets, turnover or employees. Another British businessman, Ryan Greenwood, who visited Finland in June as a representative of the financiers, was also involved in the activities of these companies.
Refusal to give an interview
The heads of the Finnish project are Pepe Perkiö and Jouko Harjunpää. Perkiö forwarded journalists a response from Greenwood, who declined an interview and refused to answer the submitted questions. According to Greenwood, the financiers are focused on arranging the necessary funding, cooperating with stakeholders and implementing the project, and participation in media interviews would not, in his view, contribute to these goals.
Journalists also called Pratt at the number listed in the registration details. The conversation lasted 11 seconds and was cut off when the correspondent began introducing himself. Repeated calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages and an email containing questions received no response.
