Fico denied Slovakia's participation in the "coalition of the resolute"

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that the country has not been, is not, and will not be a member of the “coalition of the resolute” in support of Ukraine. He made these remarks in response to a report by the euBrief portal, according to which the French Embassy recognized Slovakia as a full member of the group supporting Ukraine.

According to “European Truth,” Fico said he had personally spoken with the French Ambassador to Slovakia, Nicolas Suran. According to the Slovak prime minister, he asked the French embassy not to spread false information about Bratislava’s membership in the group.

Fico also stated that he had not participated in any meetings of the “Coalition of the Resolute.” He said the French ambassador confirmed that this was a misunderstanding that should be publicly clarified.

On July 13, 40 participants joined the “Coalition of the Resolute” meeting in Paris. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated at the time that the meeting’s participants had agreed to hold their next meeting in Ukraine.
