On July 14, a large-scale fire broke out at a military facility in the city of Volsk, Saratov Oblast, Russia. According to preliminary reports, the fire started at a military academy; the cause of the incident is under investigation.

Local media and Telegram channels reported the fire and published videos from the scene; the information was later confirmed by the regional office of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to available information, the fire engulfed a three-story building housing the museum of the history of the Volsk Military Institute of Logistics, located on Gorky Street. Footage posted on social media shows intense flames and thick smoke, which was visible from various parts of the city.

According to firefighters, the area affected by the fire stood at 2,600 square meters as of 3:30 p.m. By around 5:00 p.m., the fire had been contained. Russian rescue workers deployed ten pieces of specialized equipment to extinguish the fire.

At the same time, it is part of a branch of the General of the Army Andrei Khrulyov Military Academy of Logistics and Material Support—one of the key military educational institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which trains specialists in logistics and material support for the Russian army.
