The FSB announced that it had killed two men in Komi who were planning a terrorist attack
Two men suspected by the FSB of planning a terrorist attack on an oil infrastructure facility were killed in the Russian city of Ukhta (Republic of Komi).
This was reported by the Public Relations Center of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
According to the Russian security service, the deceased allegedly planned attacks using drones on an oil facility in the region, as well as “collected data” on participants in the war against Ukraine and law enforcement personnel.
The FSB claims that the men were acting “on orders from Ukrainian intelligence services” and maintained contact with their handlers via foreign messaging apps, transmitting information about industrial facilities and Russian military personnel.
The statement also notes that during the attempt to apprehend them, they allegedly offered armed resistance, after which they were “neutralized in response to the fire.”
Russian security forces released footage from the scene showing two bodies in a destroyed building.
Since the beginning of the year, the FSB has repeatedly reported similar incidents, claiming that several people were killed during “attempts to apprehend them in connection with terrorism cases.”
Prior to this, the Russian Federal Security Service reported that it had allegedly foiled an assassination attempt against the leadership of Roskomnadzor, which, according to their version, was being prepared with the involvement of Ukrainian special services.
