The FSB accuses the SBU of plotting an assassination attempt against a security official in Moscow

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has issued a statement regarding the alleged foiling of a terrorist attack targeting a high-ranking official of one of Russia’s law enforcement agencies.

As in most such cases, the Russian side categorically asserts that the operation was planned by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the FSB, the explosion was supposed to occur near one of Moscow’s business centers.

Russian security officials claim they discovered the explosives during an inspection of the trunk of an electric scooter, where they were disguised as a standard household charging station.

The agency’s statement notes that the homemade device was packed with explosive components.

The Russian intelligence agency emphasizes that if detonated, the explosion could have resulted in a large number of casualties among the civilian population near the business center.

As a reminder, in Crimea, the FSB detained a man for supporting Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on fuel infrastructure.

Since the beginning of the year, Russian occupation forces have significantly increased their use of the "Bastion" coastal missile system to strike the mainland of Ukraine.

As a reminder, on the night of March 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian “Bastion” coastal missile system launcher.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also struck Russian military facilities.
