Saudi foreign minister meets Indian counterpart at BRICS summit
Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi, India, on the sidelines of the 2026 BRICS summit. The sides discussed the development of Saudi-Indian relations and opportunities for their further deepening.
Talks in New Delhi
As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, citing the Saudi Press Agency, the diplomats reviewed cooperation between the two countries in various fields. They also discussed ways to further develop relations in the interests of Saudi Arabia, India and their peoples.
Faisal bin Farhan and Jaishankar exchanged views on regional and international developments, as well as other issues of mutual interest. They stressed the need to continue consultations and coordination to strengthen security and stability, as well as to seek political and diplomatic solutions to current challenges and crises.

Conversation with the UAE foreign minister
Separately, the Saudi foreign minister held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments in the region and efforts to contain escalation amid the rapidly evolving situation. The sides stressed the need to coordinate positions and strengthen consultations between the two countries, supporting the format of joint action by the Gulf states, the security of their countries and the protection of national assets.
