Macron to pay state visit to Spain on September 29–30
French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a two-day state visit to Spain on September 29–30. Asharq Al-Awsat reported this, citing the Spanish government.
Meeting with Sánchez
On September 30, Macron will be received by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. A banquet in honor of the French president will also be held with the participation of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
According to the Élysée Palace, this will be Macron's first official visit to Spain since January 2023. The French side also said that this is the first state visit by a French president to Spain since 2009.
