Turkey’s intelligence chief meets Libya’s acting defense minister — Anadolu Agency
Head of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Ibrahim Kalin met with Abdussalam Zoubi, the acting defense minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, in Istanbul. The meeting took place on Saturday, security sources said, Anadolu Agency reports.
Talks on Libya
The parties discussed developments in Libya and the wider region, as well as steps to maintain cooperation between Libya and Türkiye. Separate topics included efforts to achieve political and military unity in Libya and preserve stability in the country.
The talks took place amid intensified consultations on unifying Libya’s military and political institutions.

Statements by the participants
Zoubi welcomed Türkiye’s efforts aimed at achieving unity in Libya. Kalin emphasized Türkiye’s determination to continue contributing to supporting Libya’s security and stability.
On September 10, Kalin also met in Ankara with Libya’s House of Representatives Speaker Aguila Saleh and High Council of State Chairman Mohammed Takala.
