Head of Yemen’s Presidential Council calls for enlistment in armed forces — Jerusalem Post

Rashad al-Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Council, called on citizens in a Friday address for general and national mobilization and to join the armed forces to fight the Houthis. This was reported by the Jerusalem Post, which describes the Houthis as an Iran-backed group.

Call for mobilization

Al-Alimi called on Yemenis to support the armed forces and security structures, join them through official channels, and help in any available way. He called the Houthis a terrorist militia and said the country must be liberated from them.

Al-Alimi also described the intensification of Houthi attacks as a dangerous escalation. According to him, the group has chosen force and weapons instead of dialogue and peace.
