Samsung's CEO received no compensation; Doosan received 45.58 billion won
Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong did not receive any compensation from the company in the first half of the year. SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won received 1.75 billion won during that period, which is about $1.23 million, according to regulatory filings by the companies reported by The Korea Herald.
Lee Jae-yong has not received a salary from Samsung Electronics since 2017. Choi Tae-won received compensation from SK Inc., the holding company of SK Group.

Among the heads of local business groups, Doosan Group Chairman Park Chung-won received the highest compensation—45.58 billion won. Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon received 11.58 billion won from the group’s affiliated companies, while Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin received 11.2 billion won from companies within the retail conglomerate.
LG Group Chairman Koo Kwan-mo’s total compensation for the first half of the year amounted to 4.83 billion won. Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Eui-sun received 2.25 billion won from Hyundai Motor, 1.35 billion won from Kia, and 900 million won from Hyundai Mobis.
