In Khabarovsk, the Russian Federation — an aggressor state — unveiled a monument dedicated to the victory over Japanese militarism. As ECNS reports, the 15-meter sculpture depicts a Soviet serviceman destroying a border marker bearing the Japanese imperial chrysanthemum with the butt of a rifle.
Japan's reaction
According to the outlet, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi protested against the installation of the monument and demanded its dismantling. The publication notes that the Russian side called such a reaction absurd.
