India delivers 68.5 tonnes of aid and a Bailey bridge to Nepal
India has provided Nepal, which was hit by flash floods, with humanitarian aid totaling 68.5 tonnes and a Bailey bridge. The country also dispatched technical teams, forensic experts and equipment for search-and-rescue operations.
Fourth aid flight
According to The Hindu International, the fourth aircraft carrying 11 tonnes of aid arrived in Nepal on Sunday, August 30, 2026. India’s Ministry of External Affairs reported the arrival of the flight in a post on X. Following this, the total volume of cargo delivered by India reached 68.5 tonnes.

Search operations in tunnels
On August 29, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu reported that the country had sent a specialized technical contingent, including tunnel experts, as well as search-and-rescue equipment. The specialists are to assist with work in the tunnels of hydroelectric power plants, where, according to the embassy, workers may have become trapped after the devastating flash floods on August 26.
