Iran launched a missile attack on Abu Dhabi, leaving several dead and wounded
In the United Arab Emirates, debris from a missile intercepted by air defenses killed two people and injured three others in Abu Dhabi.
This was reported by the BBC.
Several cars were also damaged during the attack.
The UAE is bearing the brunt of attacks in the Persian Gulf, where Iran has already launched more than 2,100 missiles and drones. Although the UAE Ministry of Defense claims that most of the attacks were intercepted, the government is controlling the dissemination of information about the consequences.
Authorities also reported that over 100 people have been arrested for photographing and filming the damage, which is considered illegal. These measures are being taken for security reasons.
UAE officials state that such attacks undermine the country’s image of security and stability. In the event of negotiations with Iran, the Emirates will demand long-term restrictions and control over its missile and drone fleet, as well as strengthen security cooperation with the United States.
On March 24, UAE air defenses intercepted more than 20 aerial weapons, including five ballistic missiles. Since the start of Iran’s active aggression, according to the UAE Ministry of Defense, the country’s airspace has been violated by 1,806 drones, 357 ballistic missiles, and 15 cruise missiles.
Prior to this, Iran launched a missile attack on a major power plant in Israel, but no damage was caused to infrastructure or people.
As a reminder, the Bushehr nuclear power plant was targeted in the attack, raising serious concerns about radiation safety in the Persian Gulf region.
As a reminder, the U.S. and Iran may hold talks on ending the war on March 26.
Iran has also announced “surprises” for the U.S. and Israel in the coming days.
