Video: The U.S. struck an Iranian vessel attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz
The U.S. military struck the Iranian-flagged vessel Touska as it attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz despite the blockade.
This was reported by Reuters.
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth that “a cargo ship weighing nearly as much as an aircraft carrier tried to break through our naval blockade, and it ended badly for them.”
According to Trump, the ship’s crew ignored warnings, so the U.S. vessel “stopped them by blowing a hole in the engine room.”
U.S. forces operating in the Arabian Sea enforced naval blockade measures against an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port on April 19.

Iran, in turn, condemned the U.S. strike on the ship flying its flag as a violation of the ceasefire and an “act of maritime piracy.” A statement from the military command, distributed by the Tasnim news agency, states that Iran, in response to the strike on the container ship “Tuska” sailing from China, attacked several U.S. warships with drones.
