Iranian media report U.S. and Israeli strikes on energy infrastructure in Isfahan and Khorramshahr

Iranian media have reported that the United States and Israel carried out strikes on energy infrastructure in the cities of Isfahan and Khorramshahr. According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, gas supply facilities and a gas pipeline were hit. No civilian casualties have been reported.

This was also reported by Anadolu Agency.

Fars News Agency reported that in Isfahan, a gas management building and a gas pressure reduction station were damaged, affecting parts of the facilities and nearby residential buildings.

In Khorramshahr, a missile struck an area near a gas pipeline, though no casualties were reported.

Electricity supply in Khorramshahr remains uninterrupted, while there is currently no information about outages in Isfahan.

These strikes reportedly occurred after US President Donald Trump announced a five-day delay in planned attacks on Iran’s energy sector, citing “productive” negotiations with Tehran.

Earlier, Trump had warned that the United States would destroy Iran’s power plants if the country did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping.

Trump stated that over the past two days, the US and Iran had held “very successful and productive” talks on de-escalating tensions in the Middle East. However, Fars, citing a source, reported that Iran is not engaged in any negotiations with the United States.

Iran has announced “surprises” for the US and Israel in the coming days.

The US and Israel are reported to have differing objectives in their confrontation with Iran.

Israel reportedly struck a port used by Iran to supply weapons to Russia.
