Iran reports 11 killed in US strikes
Iran said that 11 people were killed as a result of US strikes on its territory. As reported by The Hindu International, the country’s state media released the data on September 2 after a new strike in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
Casualties in Khuzestan
The state-run IRNA agency reported that the deputy governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement said that seven people had been killed and eight wounded. According to him, the United States launched a missile strike on three locations in the province overnight.
The Iranian Red Crescent also said that one of the strikes killed four people during a wedding celebration.

Statements on Iran’s response
Iran continued to strike US interests in the Middle East and promised “severe” consequences in response to the US attacks. Iranian media reported the launch of ballistic missiles at two US bases in Jordan. Washington did not immediately comment on these reports.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned of “much tougher and larger-scale” strikes should Iran respond. The new round of escalation began after US strikes on Iranian targets on August 30. After that, according to the source, Iranian forces struck US military personnel in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, while projectiles hit two oil tankers in attacks for which no one claimed responsibility.
Against the backdrop of the overnight exchange of strikes, oil prices rose: Brent futures gained 0.8% to $95.40 per barrel.
