Iran announced it was halting its strikes following a pause in U.S. attacks — The Times of Israel
The Iranian military announced that it had halted its strikes after U.S. forces had not launched any new attacks for two days.
Iranian military spokesman Amir Akraminia stated that Tehran’s actions were a response to U.S. strikes, so once those ceased, Iran also halted its operations.
“The Americans have ceased their attacks over the past two nights. Since our strategy was entirely focused on retaliatory actions, we have also halted our retaliatory operations,” he said.
According to Akraminia, the U.S. strategy remains unclear even to the American leadership.
“This is evidenced by statements from U.S. officials, including the U.S. president, as well as the actions of U.S. Central Command,” added the Iranian military representative.
Earlier, tensions between the U.S. and Iran escalated amid mutual strikes and statements about further military action.

As a reminder, after 13 days of new military strikes against Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the attacks to cease.
During the conflict with the U.S. and the subsequent ceasefire, Iran exported oil worth a total of approximately $18 billion, according to Mohsen Paknejad, the Islamic Republic’s oil minister.
