The U.S. Ambassador to the UN Explained Trump's Decision to Halt the Bombing of Iran

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Volz told Fox News that U.S. President Donald Trump had decided to suspend strikes against Iran after 13 consecutive days of bombing. According to the diplomat, the pause in the attacks is intended to give Tehran an opportunity for negotiations and a diplomatic resolution.

The administration notes that Trump has always preferred the diplomatic route, but at the same time has clearly demonstrated to Iran the consequences of refusing to engage in serious negotiations. Currently, there is a temporary lull between the parties.
