The media have learned details of Zelenskyy's visit to the U.S.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit the United States in the coming days. According to ABC News, citing a Ukrainian official, the highlight of the trip will be a meeting at the White House with U.S. President Donald Trump, scheduled for Tuesday, July 28.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader will attend a memorial service for South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. The politician, who was one of Ukraine’s most steadfast supporters in the U.S. Congress and made regular visits to Kyiv, died suddenly on July 11 at the age of 71.
The senator’s legacy continues to influence Washington’s policy: following his death, U.S. lawmakers introduced an updated version of a bill Graham co-authored, which calls for the imposition of tough sanctions and tariffs against buyers of Russian energy resources and countries that help Moscow circumvent restrictions.
