Israeli military conducts raids in southern Syria — Anadolu Agency

On Monday, Israeli forces, during separate incursions into southern Syria, raided several homes in the village of Maariya in the western part of Daraa province and set up a checkpoint in the neighboring province of Quneitra. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing Syrian media.

Syrian television channel Alikhbaria TV reported that the Israeli military raided several homes during an incursion into the village of Maariya in the western part of Daraa province.

Checkpoint in Quneitra

According to the channel, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint on the road between Ain al-Nouriya and Khan Arnaba in Quneitra province.

The incidents occurred amid repeated Israeli military operations on Syrian territory. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said during his speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly last week that since the end of 2024, Israel has carried out nearly 500 air and artillery strikes and more than 1,200 incursions into Syria. According to him, there were also nearly 300 arrests and detentions.
