In Israel, an author at The Jerusalem Post called on the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to provide more detailed and transparent responses to allegations raised in the film NAZA. According to the commentary author’s description, the film by two Israeli directors contains testimony from 24 anonymous people, whom he describes as alleged Israeli military personnel. The film levels accusations of war crimes and genocide during the war in Gaza in 2023–2025.

According to reports about NAZA, the film refers to a 500-to-1 ratio without specifying a particular date or episode. The author stressed that, according to his information, Israeli government officials and IDF representatives had not yet had an opportunity to view the film. He also referred to the conclusion of an Israeli judicial commission regarding the 2002 strike on Hamas military leader Salah Shehadeh, in which 13 civilians were killed: the commission did not recognize it as a war crime, but called the case borderline.
