APC candidate wins Kano State by-election — Premium Times Nigeria
In Nigeria, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Hussein Yusuf-Datti won the by-election in the Dawakin-Kudu constituency of Kano State. This was reported by Premium Times Nigeria.
Voting results
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Yusuf-Datti the winner. Ibrahim Tajo-Suraj, who was responsible for announcing the results, reported them on Saturday in Dawakin-Kudu.
According to him, the APC candidate received 22,890 votes. His closest rival, Habib Hamisu of the Peoples Redemption Party, received 270 votes.

Abdullahi Adamu of the Peoples Democratic Party received 108 votes, while Bala Mohammed-Sani of the Action Democratic Party received 89 votes.
Votes of other candidates
Aliyu Abdullahi of the All Peoples Party won 53 votes. Labour Party candidate Abubakar Yahya-Mohammed received 39 votes.
Tajo-Suraj stated that Yusuf-Datti was declared elected because he met the legal requirements and received the highest number of votes.
