Kazakhstan has resumed oil exports via Novorossiysk
Kazakhstan has resumed oil exports through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal in Novorossiysk after a hiatus of nearly a week.
Oil is currently being loaded onto tankers, and further operations will depend on the security situation.
At the same time, it has been reported that the country’s daily production of oil and gas condensate has more than halved—to 1 million barrels per day, compared to an average of 2.16 million barrels in June.
Supplies via the CPC were suspended on July 21 following attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian tankers. About 80% of Kazakhstan’s oil exports pass through this route, so the suspension has significantly impacted the country’s production and export of energy resources.

Oil production in Kazakhstan has returned to normal levels at one of the country’s largest fields—Karachaganak. Following maintenance work, production has returned to normal levels. This was reported by the Kazakh Ministry of Energy, which noted that the field is once again operating normally.
